This race series is definitely one of my favorites! In the thick of summer, it’s hard for me to remember what it’s like bundling up for outdoor running and races…but lo and behold, I certainly needed beanies and windbreakers for Seattle and Denver! Phoenix got a bit warm at the end but I still welcomed the hot cocoa. San Diego was a miss last year due to COVID closures.

I love the Hot Chocolate race series for lots of reasons! The swag is super high quality. I’m still wearing my 2018 hoodie and there’s barely any signs of wear and tear (and I wear it A LOT). The races courses are not overly challenging and are beginner-friendly. They even offer free professional race photos, which normally costs between $20-$80 at races. If you ever need some polished photos for your social media accounts, then I would recommend registering for one of these races because you’ll get the photos for use wherever you’d like but also the swag and goodies. It’s a steal compared to other races.
